This Fishing Destination is Situated on the Farm Rustfontein Bronkhorstspruit.The Farm and property is privately owned and must at all times be respected as such. The venue is managed by Danie de Vries and Schalk Walters, both crazy about Bass fishing, hence the name.
It consists of 3 dams, Dam no1, 14.5-16ha -Ideal for float tubes and inflatable small boats. Dam no 2 on the Northern end of the farm is smaller 4,5ha in size and is home to Trophy Bass and Carp, and is a strictly by appointment & appointment only. Dam no 3 is small 1ha water and is mainly reserved for the novice Bass Angler to give them a chance of catching a bass.
Dams 1 and 2 are home to some big Bass and Carp our current Dam records are a 3.54kg Bass and a 14,88KG Carp. Elusive bigger Fish are around and it is believed that a 20kg Specimen Carp will be caught in the nearby future. No accommodation is currently available. Camping by arrangement is however allowed. Ablution, with a shower is available. Fishing is mainly weekends only. For special clients exceptions can however be made.
We stand firm on "NO APPOINTMENT NO ACCESS." As duly said it is by the courtesy of the Landlord that we may use the Dams on the farm as a Fishing Destination. Security on the Farm is of a good standard, lets keep it that way and keep all gates closed, practise catch and release, respect nature and leave only your tracks behind. The use of the venue is at the visitors own risk. Right of admission is however reserved.
As an extension of this venue we offer additional Dams and a guided Bass fishing daytrips at additional cost as a service to our clients. These venues are exclusively available for these purposes only and are home to 4kg soon 5kg Bass.
